    We have a unique opportunity for a Loss Prevention Specialist to join our team in our Melbourne Flagship on Collins Street. Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will be responsible for all security and emergency response programs, overall ensuring employee safety.

    Based at our Melbourne Flagship Boutique and reporting directly to the National Operations Manager, responsibilities include but are not limited to:


    • Ensure all security schedules are structured to fully meet the needs of assigned branch locations, maximize physical deterrence and floor presence and ensure adequate floor coverage
    • Manage Contract guard programs, ensuring officers are familiar with their daily duties, provide guidance as necessary 
    • Ensure physical security applications are to standard by conducting inspections of all physical security systems. Including Radio's, locks, keys, perimeter doors etc. 
    • Ensure special events are conducted per policy and applicable security measures are in place to maintain a safe, secure and successful event 
    • Respond to after hour alarms
    • Develop and maintain an ongoing liaison with law enforcement, contract guard and other retail security agencies 
    • Conduct security awareness training presentations raising staff awareness of security controls and procedures 
    • Function as the store liaison with facilities and IT, assisting with related tasks as necessary. 
    • Establish and maintain an open line of communication between branch management and the Loss Prevention, Operations Manager and all other departments such as PR, Marketing etc.

    What do we need from you?

    • A minimum of 5 years relevant security or law enforcement experience 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of integrity and a switched on, diplomatic personality!
    • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently 
    • Able to work under pressure, keep calm, and resolve potential problems with a diplomatic approach 
    • Able to traditional retail hours across Public Holidays, weekend hours and late evenings.
